Exhibitions, are they really worth the effort?
The first exhibition I ever attended has left me with very vivid memories.
It was a solo show and I was surrounded by a single, very powerful narrative.
The artwork was totally brilliant, but what affected me most, was the concept of an exhibition itself.
It was the perfect platform for telling a contextual story, and to a captive audience, much like a cinema or theatre.
In the marketing of art, presentation has got to be one of the most important components, and holding an exhibition in an art gallery has long been the premiere way to achieve this.
As real estate rents rise, many galleries are ceasing to exist, so holding an exhibition is becoming more of a luxury, and one only a few can afford.
The internet is globalising the art market but its ability to showcase art in the form of an exhibition has been missing, until recently.

Exhibitions require a great deal of thought and effort to pull off, so if your fortunate enough to own or have a gallery to hold one in, it makes good sense to extend its reach and life online.
If you are not represented by, or own a gallery, then online is probably the only way you will be able to show your work.
This is the very reason we created Exhibbit. We wanted to create familiar gallery environments for art lovers and buyers to explore contextual and themed exhibitions in, a solution that artists and gallerists could manage, one that is affordable.
There are many times I have wanted to share the experience of an exhibition with my friends, but the best I could do was email or post a few photos ... now, I can send an entire exhibition for them to experience.

CARRY AN ART GALLERY IN YOUR POCKET
Visiting an art gallery can now be done on your phone or tablet, making fine art exhibitions accessible to everyone, wherever they are.
Exhibbit.com the online 3d art gallery company has just released an IOS and Android mobile version of their desktop platform.
Moving around an Exhibbit gallery is a surprisingly easy
and immersive experience, especially for the small screen size of a phone. The
viewer becomes more of visitor and thoroughly engages with the exhibition and
artworks.
With the cost of gallery real estate soaring, taking
your gallery online in this way has to be a serious consideration, which the
Exhibbit team believes will radically change the way fine art is experienced
and purchased online.
Doing this also comes with some really exciting extra benefits,
that are just not possible with a bricks’n’mortar space.
The galleries are available on subscription from
$10USD per month, and the Exhibbit team can even faithfully replicate your own
gallery for even greater benefits.
With the incredible image quality of today’s mobile
devices, we can see this becoming very popular with the following art professionals:
Artists, Online Galleries, Dealer galleries, Curators,
Art Agents, Online Art Auctioneers, Collectors and Art Museums.
Exhibbit is the complete tool for curating, managing and marketing art exhibitions online, available now on desktop and mobile.

Heather James's Gallery 5
Timothy Tompkins, the New Media Manager for Heather James Fine Art (HJFA) galleries first contacted us two years ago to discuss the idea of having their entire 7 galleries recreated online.
Back then, the gallery creation process took a while, making the project too expensive, so HJFA decided to hire our Marble gallery, as it was similar in style and size to one of their own.
Since then they have added an Atrium gallery for showing larger works and exhibitions.
Now, like the IaoHin Gallery in China, they have decided it is time to take their Gallery5's own unique atmosphere and style online, enabling their clients to attend it's exhibitions, no matter where they are.

EXHIBITION
& DESIGN
The virtual Gallery5 will change the way future Gallery5 exhibitions are designed.
Communication is key in the arts business and the ability to quickly scope exhibition ideas and share them with colleagues will take the collaborative design process to a completely new level.
The ability to design exhibitions in your own gallery and share those concepts privately with selected people will not only speed up the design process but result in a more refined exhibition.
The virtual replication of exhibitions hung in Gallery5 will allow HJFA to market them in quite a different way.
Two virtual Gallery5’s can be run concurrently, one duplicating the current show in the physical gallery, and the other used to create and market Previews of future shows.
Email invites to the physical opening could contain a link to the Preview, thus building awareness and anticipation.
IPAD and IPHONE on the way
Yes, we have just started the final phase of our OS mobile platform so all of you who have been asking us for it, will be very pleased. The first version will be the player app.
Imagine, being able to view your exhibitions on a mobile device. We think the immediacy and lightness of a tablet is going to make this app a winner.
We may also be able to give you the ability to create exhibitions using a browser to preview and publish....... more on this in our next newsletter.
Thanks for reading our news,
Cheers until next time.
